The Intercambiador is a good place to get on but we joined at La Vega after an excellent meal at the Churraria Hubara Cafeteria An amazing 3 course meal for 8 euros! | We hopped on at La Vega going towards the coast. We pass through leafy squares and shopping centres..... | ||
...like the Bouganvillas. Surprisingly we do not reach the front but scuttle off past the Government Building to the village of El Cable with its pretty beach. | ||||
Immediately we are back on the motorway returning to the Intercambiador or bus interchange for buses to Costa Teguise, Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen. | Our journey along the front commences with a curiosity from Manrique to the beautiful beach with safe bathing and sun beds for 3 euros and the Gran Hotel. | |||
Cafes abound along the front but they have a real local buzz and can be really busy at lunch time. | ![]() | At this corner fish are landed and locals play dominoes. We whizz on past a play park... | ![]() | |

The route now turns to skirt the edge of the city anticlockwise and visits many interesting areas inside and outside the ring road. | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | As we cross the ring road we reach the newer parts of the city which are not fully developed. | ||
